every journey at flourish begins with a comprehensive scoliosis-focused evaluation. this includes a detailed health history, postural and movement assessment, breathing mechanics, and curve-specific measurements. we take time to understand how scoliosis is affecting your body, daily activities, and goals. this thorough evaluation allows us to identify curve patterns, contributing factors, and functional limitations so we can make informed, individualized care decisions from day one.
-
we specialize in conservative, non-surgical scoliosis care rooted in evidence-based physical therapy techniques. treatment focuses on scoliosis-specific exercises, posture correction, strength and mobility training, and breathing strategies tailored to your unique curve pattern. our goal is to help manage progression, improve function, and support long-term spinal health while empowering you to actively participate in your care.
-
scoliosis presents differently at every stage of life, and care should reflect that. flourish provides customized treatment for adolescents, young adults, and adults living with scoliosis. whether the focus is growth-related changes, athletic participation, pregnancy, aging, or long-term management, treatment is always curve-specific, age-appropriate, and aligned with your lifestyle and goals.
-
bracing can be an important part of scoliosis management, especially during growth periods. we work collaboratively with physicians and orthotists to support patients who are bracing or considering bracing. care includes brace-compatible exercise programming, education, and guidance to help maximize comfort, compliance, and effectiveness while maintaining movement and confidence.
-
scoliosis can impact more than just the spine; it can affect energy levels, confidence, comfort, and daily life. treatment at flourish addresses pain, stiffness, muscle imbalance, and movement restrictions with the goal of improving overall quality of life. we focus on helping you move better, feel stronger, and regain trust in your body.
-
education is a core part of care at flourish. patients receive ongoing monitoring of posture, movement patterns, and functional changes over time. we emphasize understanding your curve, knowing what to watch for, and learning strategies you can use outside the clinic. our goal is to give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to manage scoliosis long-term.
Our Process
wellness assessment
your first visit is a comprehensive wellness assessment focused on understanding you and your scoliosis. we review your history, movement patterns, posture, and goals while gathering detailed baseline information to guide care.
kickoff consultation
during the kickoff consultation, we review findings together, discuss how scoliosis is affecting your body, and begin introducing targeted movement and exercise strategies. this visit sets the foundation for your care and ensures you feel informed and supported.
plan development
based on your assessment and goals, we develop a personalized care plan designed specifically for your curve pattern, age, and lifestyle. this plan evolves over time and may include in-clinic sessions, home exercises, education, and coordination with other providers as needed.
